Diva Character Design

Recently I have been practising new techniques to create realist character designs, I chose one of my original characters to help me get started. Diva is a fun and colourful character with so much potential for creating fun and alternative designs. I used Photoshop to get a basic shape and colour pallet down before adding details. The details came primarily from Photo bashing, which I have only really used in landscapes/environments. After playing around with the design I then took the character base into Procreate where I added the finer details that I wanted. Overall this came out really well even better than my other attempts, this is actually how I imagine her to look like; which brings me such joy. I hope to do a lot more with her and my other original characters in the future!
